Here’s How I Used AI to Scale My Brand Audience on Social Media

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a staple in almost every aspect of life from creating a workout plan to social media strategy. It’s just that helpful.

That said, in this article, we focus on the AI for social media part. I share where you can use AI to create an effective strategy, build an audience, and eventually build revenue. Sounds great? Yes, let’s get into the details.

  • AI powered Image Generation

One of the best use cases of AI is image generation. Not very long ago, in 2018, when I needed to generate images for my own Shopify store, I went through the long route of hiring a freelancer and then waiting for him to deliver the requested images.

While the freelancer part is still the same, I get a quick turnaround that makes the process more efficient. That freelancer for my business could be me; I just need creativity, the right set of prompts, and a reliable WiFi connection like the one from Xfinity internet, paired with 24/7 support from Xfinity en español to use with DALL-E or Midjourney. It’s still surprising to me how just the texts can bring impressive results that speak for themselves.

Heinz is one of the most popular ketchup brands in the world. They utilized AI to create images of their ketchup bottles, and the results? Increased customer engagement, which means more revenue.

In marketing, there is a thing called A/B testing, and while doing so, you might need tons of different angles to get the best one. Not utilizing AI at this point would not only take a lot of time to get anything meaningful, but it would also increase the cost of your production. On the flip side, if you took the help of AI for image generation, the turnaround time would be quick, and it would cost half.

So, do try using DALL-E, Midjourney, or any other AI image generation tool of your choice to generate images and gain more eyes.

  • Statistical Analysis

As a marketer, one of my nightmares is when I have to guess what will work and what won’t. This guesswork can be eliminated with the help of AI.

One of the biggest strengths of AI is its ability to understand the data and draw insights about it. It can track the most viewed content across the web and help you create similar content.

I have been utilizing AI to analyze the content of competitors. What did I get out of it? Gold. Pure Gold. AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini Pro (Google’s chatbot) helped me understand how my competitors created content like that and what was unique about it, which led to high engagement. By using those insights, I can create my own unique content that is effective.

While the statistical analysis from AI is a great way to create successful campaigns, make sure the data set you have provided to AI to analyze is comprehensive and, most importantly, correct, because if your input is weak, you won’t be able to get a fine output. So, do check your data.

And last but not least, don’t blindly rely on everything AI says because we are still in that not-so-flawless stage of these AI tools. Always keep your brain active and be a bit skeptical about the insights AI provides.

  • Using AI Influencer Partnership

It might sound a bit weird at first, but it has been gaining some traction recently.

AI influencers like @imma.gram and @lilmiquela are AI-generated influencers that don’t exist in real life, but they certainly do virtually. It is a cheaper alternative to the partnership with celebrities or influencers.

According to the statistics shared by Shopify, the average cost to partner with an influencer can reach up to 250 grand. On the flip side, the average cost to collaborate with an AI influencer is in fraction of what you pay to a real celebrity or influencer.

But personally, I don’t think it’s going to be effective in the long run. People might enjoy it while there is hype, but it won’t be able to take away the aura of celebrities.

  • Last but Not Least, AI for Copywriting

This is the use case where AI really shines for content writing.

Jasper AI and ChatGPT are some of the best tools that you can utilize to write content. Being a marketer who sometimes writes, these tools come in pretty handy. I can just give it a prompt, and with a few tweaks, the content becomes usable. And it looks wonderful as well.

But before you jump headfirst into using these tools, you should understand how these Large Language Models (LLMs) work. Let me help you understand: LLMs are nothing but artificial neural networks trying to understand the human language and mimic the same language. Once you understand how these LLMs and prompts work, you will be able to create content that shines.

Anyway, if you need to use a tool for that, then I recommend using Jasper, which is a tailor made tool for writing, and I just love it.

To conclude, I would like to say that I adore everything that AI does; it doesn’t take away the charm in human creativity. AI won’t be able to replace human creativity, but it will complement it.
